Grandma's Cinnamon Rolls

My Grandma makes the best cinnamon rolls ever! Well, our family is rather biased. I have always wanted to accomplish making them. Last Saturday the girls and I were home all day so I decided this was a good day to tackle Grandma's Cinnamon Roll recipe. It was a very long process but well worth the accomplishment. I still think it is a lot more fun to eat them after Grandma has made them:) During the process I took some pictures to document this activity! Grandma has it down to a "science" and can do it in a few hours... it took my all day!

Turning them into cinnamon rolls... these are not a low fat version!

The finished product! They do taste yummy!!

Baking with Mom

Gracie and I did some baking together today. Sydney went with Barry to run some errands and Molly was napping. It seemed like a great time to make chocolate chip cookies together. We had a lot of fun and she likes to be independent... in case you did not know that about her! Ha Ha!!!

Yummy!!!

Potty Mouth

I hope it is true that your toliet water could possibly be cleaner than you think because I just found Molly dipping her tea cups into the toliet to get a drink! Oh joy!

Tag!

Well I recently reorganized my photo files so this is the closest to 6th file, 6th picture.

This is one evening after bathtime just in the last month or so and all the girls are playing with Daddy. Molly thought it was fun to climb on his head... and sit there. Gracie is in a very "cheesy" mood these days so standing on Daddy and smiling is right up her alley.

Sometimes you just have climb on Daddy it is fun! I think it is funny that this is the picture that was 6th because I would not normally publicly share this one but it is cute.

Here are the rules:1. go to your documents/pictures.2. go to your 6th file.3. go to your 6th picture.4. blog about it.5. tag 6 people ...

How To Blog for Dummies

I think I am going to need some "blog instruction". I don't know how to add cute pictures, beyond what I have taken myself. I don't know how to change the background with fun designs. I might need to find the self help section of blogging. So any helpful hints are welcome:)

On another note. I am currently enjoying a very quiet house as everyone is in bed but me. It makes it hard for me to head to bed because I enjoy the quietness so much. Although I don't have anything exciting to "blog" about.
I am looking forward to a day at home tomorrow with no school, Barry will be home too. Maybe we can go do something fun instead of just being at home but that would be fine too!
Happy Blogging!

Christmas In January

Lauren, Gracie, Sydney and Molly in their new aprons.

The cousins! My three plus Lauren and Aiden

My mom, sister and me!

We have been celebrating Christmas at my mom's in St. Louis in January the past few years. It seems to alleviate some stress in schedule Christmas celebrations with all the families. We did that this last weekend and had a really nice time. I thought I would post a few pictures from the weekend.

New Year Resolutions

It is that time of year for New Year's Resolutions, so what better place to make it official than on my blog. I guess, as Candice said, these are more personal goals but being that it is January 1st I will make them my Resolutions!

1. To spend more time with JESUS. See previous blog posting if you need more clarification than that, but I think that is pretty clear.

2. To not always put myself last: In other words, I am going to exercise, join the gym and work on the outside of me:)

3. I have a hobby... I am going to spend some time this year enjoying that hobby. I like to scrapbook and I have not done it in way, way too long. I am going to get out my stuff and leave it out and I am going to work on the girls' scrapbooks.

4. My Family: This includes, doing something nice for Barry more often. Enjoying the girls even more, they are growing up before my eyes... I don't want to miss a thing!

5. Not waiting for special occasions to use things. I am not going to save my "special" shampoo/conditioner/shower gel for "another day" I am going to use it up and enjoy it, even if I am just staying home. I am going to use the "special dishes" just for us! No need to wait for special company, we should enjoy it now.

6. Try not to talk so much. This includes unsolicited advice, opinions etc, etc. I don't think I need to elaborate.

So the above six things ought to keep me busy this year. I look forward to what 2009 will bring our family and I do hope to be able to say that I was successful with these "resolutions" not for the sake of accomplishment but that they will make me a better wife, mother, friend, sister, daughter for those I love most!

Happy New Year!!!
