Daddy's Are Great!!

I really enjoy when we have a relaxing weekend at home with not a lot of extra activites. The girls get to enjoy lots of extra 'daddy' time. They love to spend time outside riding bikes, playing in the sandbox, playing chase all with Daddy out there with them. It also gives Barry the opportunity to see what fun things I get to see in them during the time I spend with them during the week. I just realize what a blessing it is that our girls can grow up in a Christ centered family with a committed Daddy. Maybe this post should be reserved for Father's Day but I was thinking about it today and decided it did not have to wait to sing the praises of Great Daddy's Everywhere!

Yipee! Daddy Has a Job!

Here are a few of our pictures from our celebration! We went of for ice cream after finding out last Friday that Barry did not lose his job. It was a wonderful answer to prayer after A LOT of praying:) Yea God!

Girls will be Girls

Yes! Girls will do girly things... like put smiley faces and hearts
after their name. I could not resist taking a picture and posting
this. It is so girly and it seems that not that long ago I was
putting hearts on my i's and after my name. Is this the point
when you start to see your life come full circle? It makes me
smile :-)

Who's Got a Fat Lip???

We went to Wonderscope during Spring Break and towards the end of our visit Molly slipped while trying to climb up on a picnic table and cut her lip with her tooth. I am really not even sure how it happen and I was standing there... but anyway she has a nice fat lip to show for it!

Wonder Woman or Just SuperMom???

This is for all those Wonderwoman Super Moms! I was thinking recently how as moms our lives change from being single or married with out kiddos. It is drastic change but can be humerous too when you think about it. I was reading an article in my Parenting magazine not too long ago about how as a mom we do things now that we would never dream of doing or attempting prior to kids. For example... flying, when you see you child about to fall or drop something, we can literally 'fly' across the room to catch child or object. How about, Super Hearing? Can't you tell exactly what your children are whispering to each other in the next room or whether or not they are jumping "quietly" on the "no-jumping" furniture! I can tell you my children are amazed by this... so am I actually. You probably didn't know it but I am a master juggler... yes I know clowns can juggle but just the other day I was making supper while making sure Molly did not fall off the counter while she was poking toothpicks into cupcakes as well as helping Sydney manuver her Webkinz in their virtual rooms on the computer. What about when you children are sick... our ability to move our child from a carpeted area to a non-carpeted area at the Speed of Light in order to save the carpet from "the flu bug". Amazing right??? When I was little I did want to be WonderWoman and actually had the WonderWoman underwear but I figured that would be as far as it went. Little did I know that as a Mom, the Lord gives us amazing talents and abilities to be a SuperMom... which is a much better life than WonderWoman... a fictional character! So to all those moms who feel lost in the daily routine, just remember that really you live a life with super powers that only moms can appreciate!
